LARB LÀO (LAO MINCED MEAT SALAD)

- Around 300 grams of minced pork (can also use beef)
- 1 tablespoon of raw rice
- A handful of mint leaves
- A handful of cilantro
- A handful of green onion, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons of purple onion, finely chopped
- Approximately 1 tablespoon of fish sauce
- A little bit of sugar
- Chopped chili
- Lime juice
Cách làm
- Toast the rice in a small pan over low heat until it turns opaque and slightly golden.
- Turn off the heat and grind the rice into a fine powder.
- Stir-fry the meat in the pan until cooked.
- Put all the ingredients into a large bowl. Mix well and adjust the seasoning to taste. That's it!
- In Laos, people often eat Larb Lao with sticky rice. However, if you have roasted rice crackers (sesame rice paper), you can enjoy it with a Southern-style salad (in the Southern region of Vietnam, people eat salad with roasted rice crackers or shrimp chips). :)
