FRIED RICE WITH GARLIC, SHALLOTS, AND CHINESE SAUSAGE

  • 1 bowl of overnight-cooled rice (Using cold rice is best for fried rice)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Green onions for garnish
  • Sliced Chinese sausage (to make it crispy after frying)
  • Salt, sugar, and pepper

Cách làm
  • Place the Chinese sausage in a hot pan to render the fat; the sausage will become crisper.
  • Add the chopped onion and sauté until fragrant; no need to brown.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Use your hand to crumble the overnight-cooled rice and add it to the pan.
  • Season with salt, sugar, and pepper.
  • Fry for 6-10 minutes to allow the rice to absorb the flavors.
  • Turn off the heat and add the green onions.
  • Serve hot.
